Bio
Hi! I'm Ms. Wagner.
I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and LOVE everything black and yellow. In high school, I played field hockey and lacrosse. After high school, I attended the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. While at the U of R, I played field hockey and studied Biology. During my 4 years as a Yellowjacket, I led my team to the NCAA Field Hockey tournament for the first time in school history and was named an All-American Goalkeeper. Being on the field was fun but being in the lab learning Biology was even more fun. I graduated in 2014, Pre-Med and a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology - Evolution and Ecology with a minor in German Language Studies. I had dreams of going to medical school but plans changed and I joined Teach for America after graduation. I joined the 2014 Eastern North Carolina Corps with hopes that 'One Day' ALL students will receive a quality and equitable education no matter who they are or where they come from. In fall 2014, I moved to Duplin County, North Carolina to start my teaching career at James Kenan High School. After a couple of years teaching at James Kenan, I decided to make the move up to Durham where I am now a proud Knight and still fighting for education equality! I absolutely love science, traveling, hockey, pizza, ice cream, and Diet Coke. I LOVE teaching even more!
